In addition to all the events offered by Volkswagen and Kronos Events as part of the 25 Hours VW Fun Cup, the paddock of the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps will host the first of two Belgian selection events for the operation "Girls on Track", which aims to promote motor sport among teenagers aged between 13 and 18 years old.
As part of this project set up by the International Automobile Federation (FIA) in eight European countries, the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium (RACB) has been chosen and will begin its selection phase during the 25 Hours VW Fun Cup .
Specifically, teenagers can try a slalom course in karting. The top three girls selected after two selection events will represent Belgium in March 2019 in a European final to be held in Le Mans. Objective: to be among the 6 finalists who will have the opportunity to participate in the "FIA Driver Training Camps", a sports and educational program supported by the FIA. The program will end with a grand finale organized in Brussels in autumn 2019.
The first phase of selection - which will last two days and will be held on the intermediate paddock - is completely free and all equipment is provided. If it should still be possible to register on site, it is strongly recommended to do it before with this QR code or via this link. Not sure, indeed, that there will be room for everyone ...
In short, here is a great opportunity to start a wonderful adventure in the context of the 25 Hours VW Fun Cup. Ladies, go to Spa-Francorchamps on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 July!
